Partner Home Program |
Thank you for reading more about the opportunity to become a Partner or Guardian Family! If this doesn't answer all of your questions, please send me an e-mail or contact me here! I ask that you pay for pet puppy price initially, but if I choose to have a litter in the future, I offer to pay you back OR put it toward a puppy of your choice after my show/breed picks.
The Partner Home program allows for puppies to go to their own family for individual attention, love, and training but helps us protect and improve the Miniature American Shepherd breed that we love so dearly!
Occasionally, we offer puppies that evaluate top in our litters to go to these homes! We are looking for families who are willing to keep a relationship with their breeder so we are able to visit them and evaluate how they are growing. If they will be an asset to our program, we may choose to show the puppy and obtain titles on the puppy. Of course, this will be solely at my cost - not yours! If the puppy still evaluates well, I will then complete all health testing at 2 years of age! Again, this is at my cost - not yours! Not only do you have a top quality pup from me but we will check genetic disease results, hips, elbows, patellas, eyes, and more! I also offer grooming for your pup as a part of showing. After your pup has passed all health testing, I may borrow your pup for a short time to have a litter and continue this pup's great genetics. All breeding, whelping, rearing costs of pups is MY responsibility - not yours. If I decide not to breed this dog, you will be given written permission to spay/neuter the dog.
To accomodate you for your willingness to let me borrow your loved family pet for a breeding, I can PAY YOU BACK how much you paid for the dog initially or if there is availability, you can put that $ toward a pup from his/her litter after show/breed selections have been made. The breeding must be successful in order to do so.
Ultimately, you are helping us preserve important genetics to improve our program and the breed while giving the pup a great home! We wish we could keep every puppy that would be a great addition to our program but it wouldn't be fair to all of the dogs. These quality pups deserve and yearn for attention from their own people. Preference usually goes to performance and therapy homes. Normal daily care and veterinary care is the responsibility of the owner as it would be with any loved pet.
If you think you may be interested in this opportunity or if you would like to learn more, please send me an e-mail @ PreciousGemMinis@gmail.com or click the button at the top of the page! :)
If I do not have a litter right now:
If I do not have pups that I bred available to Partner Homes, I may still be looking for a Partner Home! I would bring in a puppy from an excellent breeder with a focus on temperament and structure/movement that will help my program improve while offering new genetics. I would pay for %50 of the cost of the puppy! I value these Partner Homes just as much.

Was sent to a Guardian Family where I could watch her grow up and take her to training classes and to compete in some shows. It has really helped me make decisions on how to best improve my program. Thank you Dunn Family!!
